IllustratorAbigail Hookham is a storyteller.
Her work aims to transport both children and adults alike to worlds of wonder by capturing her characters in atmospheric and immersive illustrations. She views almost everything from the mind of a child, having once been one she understands it pretty well - and now having one of her own narrating every aspect of life, it’s even easier to do so.
Abigail is a visual artist working with a range of materials. No two projects are made in the exact same way, she works with whatever material feels right for the text and images described. While this often painted, she also enjoys making sculptural work out of felt, fibre and clay, printmaking, and working digitally.
