Aysha Tengiz is an award-winning illustrator, known for her vibrant, playful and character driven artwork. Tengiz was born in Brighton and grew up between an island on the Aegean coast of Turkey and a small market town in the English countryside. After studying and living in London for over ten years, her next adventure has begun in the Northeast after a recent move to Newcastle.

Her first picture book Baboo the Unusual Bee was published in September 2023 and her upcoming non-fiction Big Brilliant World will be published this coming Spring. Her clients also include Google, LUSH, The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Observer, Winsor & Newton, CASS Art and Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital among others.
