Clare shares her house in Bristol with her family, and a gaggle of pets. She studied a BA in Fine Art in Cardiff, and went on to work in theatre design, mural art and painting bouncy castles. In 2018 she returned to study on the Cambridge MA in Children’s book illustration. It was here she found a love of sketch booking, and capturing moments that can be shaped into a story. Her favourite place to draw is the beach.

She had 2 projects, The Bus Stop and My Red Rose selected for the Dpictus showcase in 2021.

In 2023 she won a place on the Picture Hooks mentoring scheme.

Being a big animal lover she usually finds a way to sneak creatures into her stories. She loves to create everyday worlds with a twist of magic.
