Emma has been drawing since she could hold a pencil. As a small child, if there was no paper around to doodle on she would happily draw on furniture. After studying illustration at the University of Derby she decided she wanted to focus on children's books and she has illustrated over 15 titles since. Today she lives in Nottingham, with her resident musician and mad scientist partner as well as her two feline overlords. Her long standing habit of getting lost in nature, whilst stalking local wildlife inspires her to write and illustrate stories featuring funny animals.
