Matt Abbott
IllustratorMatt is a self-taught illustrator based in South Wales - although he grew up in Manchester (and is a proud Northerner!).
As a kid, Matt would devour the Beano and Dandy comics and then spend hours copying the cartoons and coming up with his own comic book ideas. He even started a cartoon club in the library at primary school - very cool!
Matt loves creating bursting-with-emotion, jump-off-the-page characters, obsessing about details, and taking inspiration from history.
Matt has a versatile style and would love to illustrate middle grade, picture books, historical non-fiction and book covers.
